Hi! Brian Doan here – co-founder of F1-Productions. Back in 2012, I would have never considered picking up a camera or even think I’d be capable of creating wedding videos. Now this camera seems to follow me wherever I go and editing has become second nature. Looking back on our journey these past 5 years, I’ve learned so much, personally and professionally. But the most important thing I’ve learned, is what I’m truly passionate about. It’s not the videography, or business management; it’s you, the client. Getting to know you, your family, your best friends, your quirks – it’s what has made this journey so fulfilling. We’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity of capturing one of the most important day in people’s lives – and I’ve gotten to do with the most awesome team. Now go read about one of my best friends, Brian Yoo. He’s over there to the right.
One of the co-founders of F1, Brian has been called a jack of all trades by his friends. He has worked every single job you can think of and was even in a touring metal band. But when he first purchased a DSLR, something clicked and Brian made sure he took it with him everywhere creating short videos of events for friends and family and comedy skits. When he teamed up with Brian Doan, the chemistry was instant and both set out to use their skills for bigger and better events and clients. Brian currently resides in Seattle, Washington, lives with his girlfriend Anna and his mini-doxie Skooter. Brian enjoys practicing magic tricks, performing, and collecting antique/rare playing cards in his spare time.
A friend of Brian Yoo and Brian Doan since before F1 was founded. Justin joined the team back in 2013. He began making short videos in high school and would get Brian Yoo to give advice and feedback on techniques, equipment use and editing. Using this passion to document his travels and outdoor adventures is a major part of his life. Graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Entrepreneurship, spent time traveling and teaching English in Spain, and helped run a couple of Orange County’s premier Food Trucks. Justin currently resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Jenny and is self-employed. He enjoys spending his free time outside rock climbing or on road trips with his Weimaraner Monte.
Dan is responsible for leadership, strategic development, and business partner relations pertaining to the company’s business. Prior to the formation of F1-Productions, Dan completed a Bachelors Degree at UCI. In his studies, he focused on Biomedical engineering, Business Management, and Political Science. Dan is passionate about work and collaborating more efficiently, in order to help his team focus more on what they are best at and what they love to do.
Hey all! My name is Seth Caplan and I am the newest member to the F1 team. Growing up, I was the friend with the camera. I loved taking videos of everything that was going on, whether it was family time or hanging out with my friends. Then came the skateboarding videos, recording my friends and editing the clips together to our favorite songs in a race to see who could get sponsored first (none of us did). It was that same love and passion for media that led me to study electronic media and film, with a minor in photography at Northern Arizona University. I’ve since spent the last four years in Seattle doing miscellaneous freelance photo/video work around town, and am very excited to be expanding the F1-Productions brand around the Pacific Northwest.
Howdy! My name is Vince and I am a new member of F1-Productions. However, I’ve been friends with the co-founders for 7+ years! As a business graduate from Cal State Fullerton, I’ve spent most of my time working with local small business owners. I enjoy the entrepreneurship, the grit, and passion behind every small team; which ultimately, led me to F1-Productions. Just like all business’s, I am a constant work in progress. Im not who I used to be, but every day is one day closer, to what, who and where I want to be. I also like to party. Hence, the Photo Booth! It’s a great way to interact, engage, and let loose with clients, kids, parents, grandparents, pets, and friends. Because really, life’s too short. Catch me at your next event!
As a photo booth master, Kiet designs unique photo booth templates and curates props collection that befits the upcoming events. But he’s much more than that. Kiet started his the photo booth training under the eyeful watch of Sensei Foto Thoob, who taught him the ancient secrets and creed of a photo booth operator. Kiet believes that a photo booth is the vehicle to channel one's inner character, whether you are the stern and firm man’s man in which you will opt for a non-prop photo or a secret diva that jumps at the rainbow boa and glitter microphone, he is happy and blessed to be the one to provide such a transformative experience to his clients. Aside from practicing the art of photoboothography, Kiet enjoys rock climbing at LA Boulders and boxing with his friend. He also has a loving girlfriend whom he nicknamed the Beautiful and Intelligent Princess of Malaysia. She is currently in Malaysia and he plans to visit her every six months. Kiet lives in Los Angeles with his Japanese Akita, Oliver, and his fluffy Pomeranian, King Louis I.
